FAQs

What on earth is coaching Charlotte?

Coaching is an empowering process that enables the client to identify, process and activate thoughts to actions all through an ADHD/autistic lens. I will meet you where you are at and together we will figure out where you want to be and what steps you need to get you there. I see coaching as designed pause. Where you can stop. Breathe. And, hopefully feel free to unravel any thoughts or situations that you feel the need to work through in your life with someone outside of your circle.

How is this different from therapy?

Coaching is focusing on the here and now and what you can do to make a better future. Whereas therapy looks back to your past and explores why we are the way we are looking at your upbringing. Therapy also focuses more on mental health and emotional healing, whilst coaching focuses on setting and achieving goals. Unlike therapy, coaching is a solution focused, practical and forward thinking.

You might start coaching and realise that actually therapy would be more appropriate, and I would always be honest and support you to make that choice.

However, if you are in a place where you feel ready to commit to making change and need someone to support you through that whilst learning more about your neurodiversity then coaching could be for you.

How much does this cost?

I am currently offering 2x free 50 minute sessions for ADHD and ADHD and autism coaching whilst I am in training from ADDCA for the ICF accreditation.

If you wish to continue after the two free sessions the price will be £35 for 50 mins coaching until I am fully qualified.

In order to get the most from coaching I advise you to book at least three sessions which we can space out as you wish.

All sessions are paid 24 hours in advance of our session to secure the slot.

I am in employment, is there any funding available?

Access to work is a government fund to support disabled people in work. If you are neurodivergent you could qualify for this funding to pay for a coach. As there is additional paperwork and admin when ATW are funding my rate for ATW funded support is £60 for 50 mins.

To find if you are eligible for Access to Work funding click here and complete an application form https://www.gov.uk/access-to-work

Please bear in mind that applications can take up to 20 weeks to be approved.

When is your availability?

Friday afternoons 1pm - 5pm

Sunday 11am - 6pm

Some weekday 9am slots and Saturday times available if needed

I think I am autistic/ADHD but I am not yet diagnosed. Will you still work with me?

You do not need an official diagnosis to benefit from neurodivergent coaching. You might have a diagnosis, a dual diagnosis, or be self-diagnosed. If you are facing the same barriers that neurodiverse women face then my style of coaching can work for you.

I like the sound of this, but I have some hesitations/anxiety. What do I do next?

If you would like to meet me in the virtual world I can happily arrange a free 30 min discovery call for a chance to see if we connect and for you to ask any niggling questions you may have.
